March 22 – May 22, 2011
The Florence Museum is pleased to offer the students of Florence School Districts 1-5 and opportunity to showcase their artistic talent with a Youth Art Exhibit to be held March 22- May 22, in the main gallery of the Florence Museum. The student work will be exhibited with selected works from the museum’s permanent collection. A reception to celebrate students, families and friends will be held on Friday, March 25, at 6:30 pm. at the Florence Museum.
The Florence Museum was organized during the early 20th century to generate interest in world cultures and to make connections between these cultures and the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina. Keeping with this educational tradition, the Florence Museum has continued to provide opportunities for our community, focusing on our younger generations. The museum currently offers a wide range of programs for children of all ages. The Youth Art Exhibit is just another way the Florence Museum strives to engage the community and provide opportunities promoting cultural appreciation and awareness.
