On behalf of the Florence County Council, The Trustees of the Florence Museum, and The Doctors Bruce & Lee Foundation, we would like to invite you to attend the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Florence Country Museum building. The ceremony will be held on the morning of Monday May 21st, 2012 at 11:30 AM, near the corner of Dargan & Cheves Streets. A reception will follow at the nearby Francis Marion Performing Arts Center. Thanks to the generosity of the Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation and Florence County, allocated funding was secured for the purpose of constructing a Florence County Museum facility.
